Ferrero Rocher Macarons
Ingredients:
- 140g almond flour
- 140g powdered sugar
- 100g egg whites about 3 large eggs
- 100g granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup finely chopped Ferrero Rocher chocolates
- Nutella or hazelnut spread for filling
- Whole Ferrero Rocher chocolates for decoration
Instructions:
Combine the powdered sugar and almond flour and sift; set aside
Lightly beat the egg whites in a dry, clean mixing bowl until frothy
When the cream of tartar is added, keep whipping
Add granulated sugar gradually until stiff peaks form
Until the batter is smooth and glossy, fold in the sifted almond flour and powdered sugar combination
Gently fold chopped Ferrero Rocher chocolates and vanilla extract into the batter
Spoon the mixture into a piping bag fitted with a round tip, then pipe tiny circles onto a baking sheet covered with parchment paper
After removing any air bubbles by tapping the baking sheet against the counter, allow the macarons to rest for 30 to 45 minutes, or until a skin forms
Set the oven's temperature to 300F, or 150C
Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the macarons are set and have formed feet
Before removing, allow them to cool completely on the baking sheet
Cover one macaron's flat side with Nutella or hazelnut spread, then top with another macaron
Top with a complete Ferrero Rocher chocolate decoration
