Nacho Ovenschotel
This Nacho Ovenschotel is a cheesy and flavorful twist on classic nachos. It's perfect for a crowd and makes for a fantastic appetizer or snack for game day or gatherings.
Ingredients:
- 500g ground beef
- 1 packet of taco seasoning mix
- 1 can 15 oz of black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup of corn kernels frozen or canned
- 1 cup of diced tomatoes
- 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup of shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 bag of tortilla chips
- Sour cream optional
- Sliced jalapeos optional
- Sliced green onions optional
- Salsa optional
Instructions:
Set the oven temperature to 175C 350F
Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned
Eliminate extra fat
To the cooked ground beef, add the diced tomatoes, black beans, corn, and taco seasoning mix
Cook, stirring, for a few more minutes, or until thoroughly heated
Arrange half of the tortilla chips, half of the meat mixture, and half of each cheese in a dish that can be baked
With the remaining ingredients, repeat the layering process
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and melted, in a preheated oven
Serve hot, topped with salsa, sliced green onions, sliced jalapeos, and sour cream, if preferred
